These are the reoccurring public events we host:
- Public Nights at the Campus Teaching Observatory (every Friday night)
- Starry Night at the Florida Museum of Natural History on campus (once a year – one of the first Fridays in November) – includes planetarium shows, a 3-D AstroWall visualization tool, a ~50 foot Cosmic Tunnel, telescopes outside, crater making, ask an Astronomer table, and much more!
- Astronomer Visits to public schools (upon request – limited to ~ once a month)
- STARS – high school student training workshop (once per year)
- Springs & Stars Events – stargazing nights with educational activities in local state parks
Other events we have hosted or participated in:
- Kennedy Space Center Star Party
- Camps (e.g. Women in Science and Engineering Girlz Camp, Summer Camps at the Florida Museum of Natural History, CPET Summer Quest Camp)
- Teacher Training Workshops (e.g. Center for the Professional Education of Teachers and others like this one)
- Special Astronomical Events (e.g. Eclipses, Mercury Transit Event, Mars Opposition Event)
- Boy Scout and Girl Scout Events (e.g. Hosting groups at CTO, hosting a star gazing night, She’s a Scientist)
