Overview

I was born in California, grew up in Connecticut, went to undergrad in New York, completed my Master's degree in the Netherlands, and now I'm in Florida doing my PhD! If you couldn't tell, I love to travel! When I'm stuck at home, though, I like to make birthday cakes, attempt to adopt feral cats, and watch my plants die for no good reason.

Education
  • M.Sc., Astronomy, Leiden University, Netherlands
  • B.Sc., Astronomy and Physics, Stony Brook University

Research

I am currently researching the dynamics of accreting gas onto active galactic nuclei (AGN) in the hydrodynamic simulation Illustris-TNG. I enjoy researching galaxy evolution, especially using cosmological simulations as a tool to assist the discoveries made with the all-important observations.

Areas of Study
  • Galaxy Formation & Evolution
  • Cosmological Simulations
  • AGN
