Overview

I grew up on a rural farm in Southeast Arizona along the diverse ecosystem of the San Pedro River. I studied physics and astronomy at the University of Arizona, where I worked on early star formation, pulsar observations, and learned to love radio astronomy. While at UArizona I participated in Astronomy Club and Physics Club, and I hope to continue to do STEM outreach as a graduate student. Now at the University of Florida, I plan to study planet formation.

Education
  • B.Sc., Physics and Astronomy, University of Arizona, 2021

Research

I began my journey as an astronomer studying early star formation and astrochemistry, specifically deuterated molecules and what they can tell us about the evolution of molecular clouds. I'm also interested in radio instrumentation, and have worked on several projects in the 100 MHz - 10 GHz range designing and building telescopes. I am now interested in planet formation, especially the chemistry and dynamics of protoplanetary disks.
