Overview
I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon where I became involved at Pine Mountain Observatory. There I became interested in astronomy and decided to peruse it in my graduate studies. I have since transitioned away from observational work, but I still enjoy star gazing when I get to travel to a dark sky. Outside of work, I enjoy biking, visiting the beach, reading science fiction, pickleball and disc golf.

Research
My research involves running large cosmological simulations with varied dark matter parameters to understand how non-standard dark matter (something other than cold dark matter) affects galaxy formation. Specifically, I am investigating how self-interacting dark matter can alleviate some of the small-scale problems currently found in cold dark matter simulations.
