Overview

After growing up on the sunny shores of Ormond Beach I arrived at the University of Florida to receive my degrees in astronomy and physics in 2015. Following this, I came back to UF in 2016 for the astronomy graduate program. When I’m not doing that, I’m likely cooking or out tending the garden.

Education
  • B.Sc., Astronomy, University of Florida, 2015
  • B.A., Physics, University of Florida, 2015

Research

I am interested in the planet formation around young M dwarf stars. By observing the IR and mm excess around these stars, I measure the distribution of dust in their protoplanetary disks. This gives insight into the mass available to form planets as well as the overall timescale of planet formation.  I've also done work in astrobiology instrumentation.

Areas of Study
  • Planet Formation
  • Protoplanetary Disks
