Overview

I am an international student from Bogota, Colombia. My interests in the Astrophysics field are the detection of exoplanets as well as studying those stars that host them. I am very passionate about observational Astronomy as well as different observational techniques. One of my hobbies is astrophotography, where I can combine my passion for observational astronomy to capture different images of the universe. I am also very passionate about different computer algorithms (particularly in Python) in order to solve problems in the field and then make them publicly available for the community.

Education

B.Sc., Astrophysics, University of Florida, 2020

Research

I am interested in the detection of extrasolar planets as well as studying those stars that host them. Determining the main atmospheric parameters of stars as well as the chemical abundances is the main focus of my research project.
I am also very interested on developing fast and reliable algorithms that could also be used by the scientific community as well as the general public.

Areas of Study
  • Planet-Hosting Stars
  • Exoplanets
  • Stellar Spectroscopy
