Educational Background
  • Ph.D., Physics, University of Illinois, 2011
Areas of Specialty
Star Formation, Exoplanets, Magnetohydrodynamics

Research Interests
I am interested in the interplay of chemistry and magnetohydrodynamics in physical scenarios ranging from star formation in molecular clouds to the evolution of exoplanet atmospheres.

Biography
I received my BSc from the University of Toronto after which I pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Illinois with Dr. Telemachos Mouschovias, graduating in 2011. From 2011-2015 I was a postdoctoral researcher working with Drs. Zhi-Yun Li and Phil Arras on atmospheric escape from hot Jupiters. Now at the University of Florida, I work with Dr. Jonathan Tan on the role of ambipolar diffusion in GMC collisions and the evaporation of super-Earths.
